Corporate Chic à la Carrie Bradshaw...

As much as I loved the characters, setting and story lines in Sex and the City, what really made the show unmissable for me was the fashion.

The shows' stylist, Patricia Field, was responsible for all of the amazing outfits throughout the entire series'.

One of my personal favourite 'Carrie Moments' was Ms Bradshaw's first day at Vogue.

Carrie submits her first assignment only for the article and, in turn, her sense of humour to be torn to shreds by sharp witted editor in chief, Enid who so cruelly tells her, "Less Carrie Bradshaw - more, 'carry this bag with these shoes...'"

Carrie does what every self-respecting fashionista would do, given half the chance, and proceeds to get drunk at Vogue!

But, not even one too many Martini's can detract for her killer outfit - a fitted, navy pinstripe Vivienne Westwood pencil skirt and jacket.

Vivienne Westwood clothing is made for curves and the pencil skirt gives a perfect hourglass shape. The fitted jacket with the asymmetrical neckline and concealed button front creates the illusion of a tiny waist even if you're not blessed with Sarah Jessica Parker's petite frame.

The Vivienne Westwood silhouette is unmistakeable and this grey pinstripe version is currently available on Net-a-Porter.com - perfect for any meetings or interviews you want to dress to impress for... although it's probably best to stay away from the Martini's until you've after secured the job, promotion or new client though.... ;)

Always in Vogue - Carrie Bradshaw
